Just wanted to report on my testing taller roller weights on my TRIKE.
The Variator on my Trike takes 18x14 size weights.
I got 19x14 size rollers and I finally decided to try them out today.
Here is what I found:
1. Due to the rollers being taller it pushs the Variator out a little more which made the Belt sit up higher in the Variator and lower in the Clutch pulley. 2. Due to the belt now sitting higher I lost some UMP starting off. 3. I also lost 1000 rpms at the top end. 4. Do to loosing 1000 rpms at the top end I did not gain any more top end speed, actually I lost some It would only go around 62mph. 5. The only good thing I liked where the very low rpms doing 30-50 6. Also the Trike now started to move at 2000 rpms instead of 2300-2500 rpms.
That is what I found and Due to the sluggish take offs I am taking the 19x14 rollers out and going back to the 18x14 size weights. Alleyoop

John the weight of them is NOT THE PROBLEM the problem is they are TALLER which already makes the belt sit higher on the Variator from the get go. But I mean one could live with them I am not saying no lighter weights would help some but still your top end would suffer unless your motor can produce a lot more rpms. But I do not like high rpms so I have mine tuned to run at most 7000k-7200k and it will not go higher. But I have a lot of power and can get up to 50mph really quick. Like I said cars at the lights do not have to wait for me to pull out I am right behind the cars in front of me. Alleyoop

Kalee... Sorry I did not notice your request on the sliders as we were joking around. I tried many different wts with the sliders and rollers too on my Magnum. I even put in a set of sliders that were only 2012x8 Dr Pulley. Good smooth take off but mid range rpms too high and top end max 52mph. I found the best wt is the 2012x13. Stock wts were 2012x14

Kalee, If believe your 150 takes the same size as my 150, the different size trikes have different variators and the weights are of different sizes to fit in the variator ramps.
Your 150 takes weights that are 18x14 size so if you want quality weights get Dr. Pulley weights you can get them in Slider or Roller type.
Most 150s run best with 11 to 13 gram weights. Question for you: 1. Do you like the way it gets up to speed with the current weights? 2. Do you like the RPMS it runs at either starting up and or at full speed? 3. Do you want a little more ump starting up and getting up to speed?
Answering the questions and KNOWING what gram weights are in there right now well help with what gram weights you might want or need. Alleyoop
