Hello everyone. I'm new on the forum and have a question that's probably going to sound dumb, but I just found the automatic choke wires (the end with the red connector) on my Jonway 250 are just hanging there loose and I've been beating my brains out trying to figure out what they are supposed to be plugged in to. I can't seem to find a manual or diagram that shows how these wires are supposed to be connected. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not a dumb question at all. If you have a two wire connector hanging somewhere around the engine compartment it probably plugs onto the auto-choke connector. One of the wires will be a 12v source, probably AC, the other will be a ground. You can use your multi to test continuity to ground on the one wire and test the other with the engine running for voltage. If it's DC it will come on with the key.
These scooters are very similar in configuration, even from the 250 vertical to the 250 horizontal. On my CF Moto vertical the auto choke runs off of a yellow stator wire that splits:
The yellows are the three AC power wires that run to the regulator/rectifier. One of the yellows splits, runs to the auto-choke, and then ground:
If you can't find the connector for the auto-choke, split one of your yellows from the stator, hook it to one of the wires from the auto-choke (it doesn't matter which), and ground the other. The auto-choke will come on when you start the scooter like it's supposed to. If you need help with the wiring just ask on this thread, we can walk you through it.

Thanks Bashan for your help. I guess a picture really is worth a thousand words because once I saw where to look I was able to find the errant end of my wiring and get everything buttoned up. Still having some issues with rough idle but I think it's nothing that can't be fixed with a little B12 and some nice long riding. Thanks again

You're very welcome. I just smoothed my idle out with a new plug. They can look fine but have internal problems. They're three bucks, easy on the wallet, I switch them on all problem scooters to take it off of the table. Check your valve gap too.
