Well I am getting confused myself now(HEHE). When you crank it and it will not FIRE once IS THE PLUG WET OR DRY.?
IF IT IS DRY take the TUBING OFF THE CARB and cover most of the CARB AIR INLET WITH YOUR HAND AND SEE IF it will fire. IT MAY BE that your getting so much air because of the air box being torn up it is not getting gas.
TRY THAT and see if it attempts to FIRE.
