Not finding much on out of timeing symptoms.
What are they?

Won't start
Very hard to start
Loss of power usually around 20mph or so won't pull anymore

Like I said any of the symptoms I put up, all depends how bad of your on the timing.
Why the question? If you are concerned about your timing bring it up to TDC (align the came with the two little holes even with the head) THEN take a picture of the CASE POINTER and where it is pointing on the FLYWHEEL. And many of us will be able to tell you if it is way out of time.
