Hi guys!! I am working on a friends 50cc gy6. It began having trouble after 3000 miles. It seems to have fuel delivery issues. it wont go over 20 mph. (seems to run fine on stand). and revs hard. under load, it bogs hard. Today we drain the gas and empty the carb bowlto test for bad gas. Then we will disconnect the electric choke to see if its stuck. We dont have a spare check valve, any tips on checking that would be cool... I cleaned the jets the other day, still runs bad. If you pinch the fuelline it will start way easier. Well thats alli have for now, any carb/fuel genuises please chime in thanks Case Attachments:

Adjust valves if ya got em. Look for air leaks in the intake side. Clean spark plug and air filter?

Great advice DW, those things must be checked. There are only three types of delivery systems, electric, vacuum, and gravity. Testing for vacuum is the same as electric except you have to run the engine or use a syringe to put a gentle vacuum on the vac valve.
First, Here is Alley's effective method for checking fuel flow. Second, here is my method for checking the fuel delivery. If you have an electric pump, disconnect it and test by turning on the key. Then you can do the rest of tests using the above methods same as the gravity feed system. If you have a vacuum pump you'll have to let the engine run to power the pump.
The bogging could be due to a vac leak or a torn needle tube diaphragm. usually, when an engine is starved for fuel it will cut out, not bog, because the bowl is alternately running out of fuel and then enough to kick it back in. If you need more help let us know. Rich

Hello I'm having the same issue but with a 2016 vitacci solana 49cc yn50qt-8 it has vacuum petcock and I don't really know if all of the vac hoses are there and I'm not even sure if the evac tank is supposed to be Hook up to anything all the hoses are not cut or anything the air filter is clean the carb is clean and has a welch plug it has oil and new fuel filter it cranks up good and it idling good just when your going down the road you can give it full throttle it bogs and losses speed and trust to die keep throttle in a sweet spot and it go 5 to 10 mph get to a hill and it starts bogging down unless you constantly rev the throttle like a mad man just to get going if you want me to upload pictures I can try and I'm sorry if I hi-jacked a post or posting in wrong place
