Rattle in rear seat of a pst150cc-11 By kalee (Read 1,686 times)

rapidjim, have you had any reports or complaints of a rattle in the rear seat of a 2012- pst 150cc-11. I know what it is just not sure how to keep it from rattling or how to go about fixing it. This is different than the seat on your 150 alleyoop, the front part of my seat swings forward and the rear section swings back toward the rear tire so you can access the battery. It also has a latch that will catch an keep the rear seat upright while you check your battery, this is where the rattle is.

Mine opens sideways and ONE LATCH is on the side BUT IT also has a LATCH at the REAR like yours. If you can grab the seat from the rear and move it up and down then you need to move the LATCH DOWN It is probably held on by two bolts, or the HOOK on the seat may be adjustable and if so then move that up a little.

Yes I like the trunk as well because it has lights, the lights on the box are work as turn signals and the one on the WING works as running light and stop light. So I have more lighting from behind so people can see more lights coming on.

On my Magnum 300 I taped a little block of foam that when you close the seat it stops the rattle

I cut a piece of foam about 3 inch square folded it in half and just stuck it in there I didn't even tape it. The person I got it from had a blue dish washing sponge in it, I wondered why. I found out when I removed it. I then replaced it with the foam.

alleyoop, where would a person get a storage box like the one you have on your trike. I just put an led strip on my storage box and it really makes a difference but would like to figure out a way to make it run sequential, got any ideas?

I cut a piece of float tube ( for swimers ) and put it under the rear seat, that was to much so had to cut it half into and that works really good, Thanks again for the good info ( royldoc & mike6736.

mike6736, Looks to me like you have put a taller windshield on your magum 300 and if so where did you get it?

I have looked at this forum until I'm cross eyed, alleyoop some where on this forum some one has changed there headlamps to Led's and I can not find it.
