I'm done fixing something this piece of sh*t.


If I buy a new engine can I just take out the old oone and put in the new?


I have a gy6 50cc 139qmb shortcase engine.


Can I just buy the shortcase 150cc gy6 engine and swap it out or will I run into complications?

You can, but get a good carb too as most don't come with one. You may need an exhaust gasket or O ring too.
Also make sure the exhaust will line up with the head and make sure your CDI and coil are good.

Installation is a snap, just remember to mark everything and take pics of everything as you go.

So I could just buy this JOG90 at the bottom of this page and everything will attach as if i'm putting back on my old engine?




Or can I drop in this GY6 100 in?

You have to have the measurements of your mounts on the frame and width of the front mounts and the length of the rear mount. Or measure your current motor mounts and get a motor with the same distance mounts so it will slap in your current frame.

Want my honest opinion? Do the research, watch some vids and start tearing down the one you have. Why, you ask? Two reasons....
1 You gain the knowledge! Most important!
2 You can get the best parts available and the tools for close to the same price as an El-cheapo replacement.
Yea, it's the long way around but you will get an engine that will last with proper maintained.
Before you say no, go out, grab a tool and dig in! What ya got to loose?
