Its gravity Fed, but the vacuum opens the valve

Is there a better one than this?





Also there was a little rubber gasket that sat in the bolt that connects the petcock to the tank. Mine is trashed and the part online does not have it. Is it required?

Yes that is a PETCOCK, so you have one that screws onto the tank outlet.
Here is what you can do and then get a petcock that you can get to easly.

YOU can get the parts at the hardware store they are GAS fitting connectors.




THEN YOU CAN GET A REGULAR PETCOCK.

Yes, I think they run right around 9/16 ID, but best is to take the PETCOCK off and take it to
the hardware store and they will get you the right Gas Connector and the step down connector for a 1/4 fuel hose to go on.
