Hey All! I'm new to scooting and I am unfamiliar with mechanics. I have had nothing but problems since I bought my trike. But I see that others have been able to overcome common issues and I'm hoping for some support. First: I use my trike to commute from Baltimore to DC, 100 miles a day. so far I have made 6 trips. I have gotten up to 80mph, though I haven't pushed it yet. When I brake and it slows down to around 25mph and below the front wheels starts to violently vibrate. Is this normal? How do I fix it? Second: I changed my oil at 400 miles, put in 2 liters of 80w-90 and now my oil light is on! Third:How come I cant start my scooter? I can hear the engine and the lights are on. but it wouldn't "turn over". Fourth: all sorts of body issues from faulty assembly to a windshield that just separated from the body Fifth: The customer service from Sunny sucks!!! It took over two months for my rear rim and tire to come in and they won't even sell me an additional one. what is up with this place and why are they the ONLY importers? Is there anywhere else I can get parts?
Thanks for your help.

First off , 80w-90 weight oil is for your tranny gears NOT FOR YOUR CRANKCASE OIL. Crank case oil put in 10w-40 good brand oil. Also how you fill it is you unscrew the DIPSTICK and fill stick it back in DO NOT SCREW IT BACK IN just stick it in and the LEVEL should cover HALF of the XXXXXs when you screw it back in it should COVER ALL OF THE XXXXXs on the DISPSTICK.
The Front shimmey could be something is loose up front, you would need to pick up the front end and move things around looking for something that is loose or WORN or Broke like a weld If all is nice and tight then the TIRES may be out of balance. Alleyoop

Thanks Alleyoop. I guess I will change my oil again! But the update is that I found the oil reset button. I think I felt my bike actual "break in". I just hit 800 miles and its running smoothly now except for the wobbling when I slow down. to stop it I just wiggle the handle bars slightly from left to right. Is there a benefit to using gas detergents? Any suggestions on securing the water tank? Anyone know where to get a small portable gas can/bladder?

If the wobble stops when moving the handlebars a little left and or right, look for something loose on your front end. It could also be that it just needs an little alignment. Alleyoop

Sure hope you didn't put many miles on her with that heavy weight oil-that'll kill and engine quick! I have the same wobble/vibration at times and I am thinking it's related to wheel alignment. I still haven't checked mine recently but it's critical to have ALL wheels parallel. I secured my coolant expansion tank with zip ties. What the hell is a gas can bladder? I guess you got the engine starting. Was it the battery? The battery supplied is not the greatest quality(big surprise, huh?!) so I keep mine on a charger when I'm not gonna be riding for a few days. I'll try to be a little better answering questions-have had a lot going on recently.

I am interested in the MC_300TKB, but I here hood and equally bad news. A local dealer here in AZ would sell me one "but doesn't recommended them as they turn poorly and are prone to flipping".. ?! Also there are not a lot of good videos of actual owners giving reviews of these trikes, just dealers promoting it. One video from Sunny has a guy riding the 150cc version on dirt and riding it outside its recommended use. Wonder how it held up?

One guy did video his 300cc Trike on the highway and making a turn into another busy highway and almost ran into the cars on that highway because the turn radius is very wide they do not turn on a dime as they say(HAHA). Also he videoed going down a dirt road and it was very unstable. So it appears that a smooth road is the only thing they can handle pretty good, but watch your turns. Alleyoop

Welcome to our group..... I do not think any trike is good for dirt roads, ATV are. I will only take a dirt road if I have to, even my Silver Wing trike with 5 foot span and more weight is not that good on them

I enjoy my Roadrunner 300 RT but as you can see by my many posts I have had many issues to overcome and still have a few and she's a year old now! So the only way I can recommend this trike is if you're crazy like me, very mechanically inclined, like fixin' stuff, or have a very deep wallet!!! ;D

I would not recommend a MC_D300tkb Roadrunner 300cc reverse trike because they are nothing but junk. I know of 6 people that own them and only 1 has theirs still running and that is new2scootn. And Sunny aka scooterdepot.us aka Sunny motors aka sunny powersports is the worst business i have ever had to deal with. I can not believe they are even still in business. They flat out lie to their customers and track phone numbers. If I call using my cell they automatically put me on hold for at least 30 minutes. If I call using a different number they answer normal and willing to help the person on the other end. They know when I call I am having to BUY more PARTS for the JUNK product they have their name on. It would be hard to flip them. I have had veteran expert motorcycle riders get on mine and immediately get off and say how dangerous they are. (they turning is what gets them everytime)

Yes, the whole front end on them need to be re-designed and made stronger. They have to be setup almost like a cars front end. The welds on them break and there are no bearings in the sleeves holding the wheels to the frame. The 2 bolts that allow the wheel to move up and down just wears the sleeve they go through and or the weld breaks and you have a bad shimmey that you cannot go over 30mph. Alleyoop

yylsuperman....I own one of the 300 cc sunny reverse trikes and I can truely say that a person needs to stay very very far away from them if you don't want to pay a bundle of money and have one of the most dangerous and mis designed bikes ever made. I also know what is causing the wobble when you slow down , And it's not your front end...it's just the oppisite...it's in the rear end or more spacificaly in the bushings in the motor mount that holds the motor onto the frame. the same thing was wrong with my bike and no front end allignment will help , Mine finally blew out and almost ran me into a steep down hill gaurd rail at 55 mph. the bushings are only a small tube inside of a rubber gromet thats heated into the control arm\motor mount and the go bad at about 500 mi....every 500 mi. I finally had to get a machine shop to make and put me in some race proven high speed synthetic bushings. that being said , even if I install those here soon , There's a list of other issues that needs to be gone over. In short I still wonder if I should give up on the bike and write it off as a big loss and be wizer for the experiance. I would have to advise anyone Do not buy this bike at any price. unless you're like new2scootin and have mech skills and deep pockets. stay away.

Good info and good advice they are not ready for prime time. And the bad part is the distributors of these Reverse Trikes are not requiring better quality from the manufactuerer and not having them fix the problems. The EPA should ban them from coming into the country until they are safe. Alleyoop

After reading all the comments about the reverse trikes, I'm sure glad I didnt get one. I was going to get one from superiorpower sports but they claimed it fell over while packing it and busted the body and that was the last one they had. So now I have an Ice Bear 150cc trike and so far not much of anything has gone wrong, time will tell. kalee

daddue11 Now that I have one of the Sunny trikes, it only has around 500 miles on it, and yes it wobbles, how do I find a replacement rear rim? When I got the scooter, it had a bent rim, I attempted several ideas to fix it only to discover the splined axle bearing can not be removed by press. :-) It was apparently molded around the splined bearing rendering replacement impossible. The rim was shattered in the attempt, so now I'm sans rear rim. Finding a 13X3.5" rear rim with disc brake 19 spline AND 19mm inside diameter has proven impossible thus far. Any ideas?
