I need help on a few questions : 157QMB engine. There is no change in rpm's when I adjust the A/F screw,, Bottom to 2/12 turns out slowly by quarter turns. Change jets ?. I haven't pulled the spark plug to see what it looks like yet. I have a falter when I give it gas on take off, I have to set the idle speed to approx 2k to get rid of vibration. Won't idle at 1500 rpm's.
I put maybe too much Sea foam in the gas,, could this cause a problem ?. Thanks...

If the idle does nothing turning that screw and you have to up the idle using the IDLE SPEED screw to keep it running then your PILOT JET and ITS PASSAGE are clogged. You will have to take the carb off and clean the pilot jet and it's passage out.

After you clean it out then go and read and or print it out to adjust your carbs fuel ratio.

Thank you very much alley !!. I didn't seem to have this faltering system previously.. I put in lighter sliders to help on the take off lugging problem and it helped, but at the same time I put in a big dose of Seafoam witch probably didn't help. I guess I won't know about changing jets until I try this. I have the carb off, will clean it up. I'll syphon out most of the gas in the tank, put clean gas in as a starter. I sure thank you for all the help and good info you've posted over the last three + years I've been a member.. Keep up the good work... Harv..

Only add 1 OZ of seafoam PER GALLON OF GAS.
