Engine number/Frame Number By apaszk (Read 3,737 times)

Hi there,

In my attempt to get a title for my Chinese scooter (Tao Tao powermax 150) I must get both the engine number and frame number. So far I have found the engine number stamped on the left side of the bike at the bottom of the engine, however I cannot locate the frame number anywhere. I have heard in some cases the engine number can also be the frame number, but I am not sure in this case. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

On the majority of chinese scoots in the uk that I've seen so far, it's stamped on the upright just below the handle bars under a plastic cover. Sort of between the foot plate and the handle bars, around where there is often a helmet hanger or little glove box.

my 50s both have a metal tag screwed to the shround, the trunks also have a metal tag, there is another tag between your feet below the glove box.
