I was sick of oil vapor condensing in my airbox and dripping out the bottom and making a mess of the side of my scooter so I modified the crankcase vent. I took the hose off the airbox snorkel( this is BEFORE the filter.) And ran it to the ground by the center stand. I put a screen type fuel filter on the end to keep stuff out and then added another small length of fuel line on the end to get it down away from the body. When running, if you look real close, there's a very small amout of oil vapor coming out. Not stock, but at least my airbox is clean!

That is what I always tell people to do and to plug up the connector on the air box so it does not suck in extra air which will mess up the fuel mixture and make it run lean. But I tell them to tie it up high on the frame higher than the valve cover so if is does squirt out some oil it will drain back down. The filter will stop it from going out but let it still breath.
