Weak coil?

Before i fired up the new scoot i replaced the stock plug with an NGK as well as an orange coil. Its been gard to start from day one and I have checked the carb and choke all seems well. Wondering if the new coil could be faulty? It runs fine once started and going.
Further research indicates that the gas cap might not be vented on Znen scoots? I have one of those locking caps on mine.

I presume you gapped the plug? And what made you decide to replace the coil? Also, have you checked the valve clearances?
My scoot is a ZNEN based model, just as a few are on here I'd guess. My cap twist locks into place, but I can't say as i've noticed what type it is. Why do you ask?

Valves good, plug good, Just always used an orange coil.
