Bike runs great. The only issue i feel is when im cruising 25-35 and let off the throttle momentarily , and I give it throttle again i feel a slight hesitation then it goes again. Brand new carb.

Well that is hard to tell if its rich or lean so first Try raising the needle 1 notch to richen it up in the mid-range, If worse then drop the needle 1 notch to Lean it out. But remember you moved the CLIP 1 notch Down to raise to first try a little richer So you have to move the CLIP 2 notchs up to lower it to Lean it a little. Alleyoop

The weird thing is that the stock carb was 18mm and came with 33 pilot and 74 main and didnt do it. The new Keihin carb is also 18mm but came with 33 pilot and 85 main. From throttle crack to wot its much more responsive with the new Keihin. Since that initial throttle from the coast is only about 1/4 throttle it points to the pilot?

There you go you just pinpointed the problem, you never told us the change in carbs and the different size jets. That is always the case people NEVER tell what they did or did not do and leave very important information explaining the problem. So now I know what your problem is caused by..your running to RICH in the mid-range due to the bigger main jet. So Drop the needle(raise the Clip 1 notch) and that will lean it out in the mid-range if need be raise it another notch.

I believe its non adjustable. i could probably raise it if i had to but lowering is not an option.

Then you have no option but get smaller main jet. Alleyoop

Have you adjusted the idle screw? Very easy to get to its the screw that holds the throttle slightly open. You want it to be as high as you can get without engaging clutch.
My little scoot had the same problem, but if I manually held the throttle 1/15th the way open or so IG was peppy.

Isnt it supposed to be 1900? If I adjust it the way you describe it will be around 25-2600

I did see that the needle does have the adjustable clip. It was right in the middle.

I actually had to richen it up a notch! What a difference in performance! Not only is the hesitation gone but the off the line performance is dramatic.
