Per Alleys advise I swapped out 3- 5gr sliders and put in some 6grs. Ive got my RPMS down now below 8000 at all times. The trade off is slightly slower acceleration.
What will a performance variator do for me? WIll it raise the RPMS back up or will it give me better off the line and keep rpms where they are at?

They have a different ramp so stop the weights from flying out so quickly, which causes you to use slightly higher rpms during take off. So that will put you back a step. If your take off is being affected by the heavier weights then maybe it suits the engine to jump just over 8k? Perhaps mix 6 and 5 gramme and see if that tunes it slightly nicer?
My recently fitted performance variator has given a few hundred rpm more during acceleration and in my case the most noticeable change is the higher top speed for a given rpm.
