Hi I have this jonway 150cc scooter that I bought brand new a cpl months ago and since then I've had numerous problems and have spent more than the actual bike cost in repairs, I had to replace the engine and carb and drove it about 700 miles untill it started dying when stopped and not running full speed, I just replaced the exhaust pipe which was completely clogged and now it idles perfect sounds good and runs better but I still can't get it to run faster than 40-45mph and the rpm won't go much past 6000 anymore. I really don't want to have to spend anymore money on it any Ideas of what it could be?? Just changed fuel and air filter and oil and changed the spark plug about 500 miles ago I'm at my wits end with it...

have you adjusted the valves yet

Curious.
Without ever starting my motor new, the valves were at .001 I adj. to .003
What happened to the original motor?
What was the pipe clogged with? is it using oil?
a bit more detailed history would help.
