i have a taotoao 50cc with 150km . what motor oil should i use 10w40 conventional this is my first oil change . I live in NJ
is there a differance between regular 10w40 oil and motorcycle 10w40 i will also be going the gear oil 75w 90
is this correct or can io use something else ? any brand suggested?

If this is a 4 stroke 50cc, yes you can use 10w40 conventional oil, get a brand name like Castrol GTX, Valvoline etc.. they are good oils also for the tranny 75w90 is fine most of us use 80w90 but 75w90 is also fine. The tranny only takes about 4 ozs or so not much at all.

I've been a shell fanboy with my scooter. Only shell V-Power premium and shell 10w40 oil every 950km. Scooter runs like a champ and gets great mileage.

I'm in the hills of north west Arkansas..
