What is a safe way to remove and clean the inside if the CVT of belt dust etc? I dont want to damage the seal with any chemicals that may not be appropriate.
While im at it the top of the motor and bottom area just looks dirt as well.

I'd say warm soapy water with a parts brush should do a good job, yes? Or am I out in left field....

Wasnt sure about water on unprotected metal. Was thinking about brake cleaner or something that would evaporate.

brake cleaner is the best cleaner for cvt nothing else. it's volatile and it doesnt produce rust and stains. and gentle to the rubber seal because it evaporates even before it starts to do damage.. please don't use soap and water... AHH, thank God, this time i make sense...thanks redouch ;D

Yes, Brake cleaner is the best even better than a degreaser. Alleyoop
