My husband finally got my Zodiac running but to make it go forward or reverse, I have to give it a little push with my feet in either direction so gears will catch. Is that normal? It's a 2013 Ice Bear Zodiac 300cc.

Yea, if the mechanism is not lined up just right then a little push will make it go in to grab the gear. What they should have done is either round the corners of the slider part or tapered them a little so they will go into the gear slot.
I would imagine someone will take it apart and do just that so no need for moving the trike so it goes into the gear slot.

Alley I have seen that shifter before... LOL You had better get that shifter adjusted right or it could pop in and out of gear when riding and cause a lot of damage. I had to replace the rear on the older Magnum 300cc for just that.

Yes you have certainly seen that shifter MIKE (HAHA). Those are your pictures of the shifter from your 300cc. That is why I ask for pictures when someone is tearing apart their ride for one reason or another so I can save them on my computer to maybe use them later to help others with the same problem and same scoots. Hope it helps Larry understand how the shifter may work on the ZODIAC and can better adjust it knowing how it may work.

That is why I just locked mine in forward when I replaced it. Look like a 40 year ago design if you ask me. Yes Al, I know and feel free to use any of my pictures or what to help others.
