Dave, I have as you can see a Voyager Trike kit on my Silver Wing as I have hip on down problems. I can tell you it is one cherry ride.. Magoo I saw that, and is my ideal setup. But, the cost of a burgman, majesty, silverwing, plus a voyager kit is more than i wanna spend right now. I am looking at a voyager kit for my GL1200 tho (plus a electric thumb shifter thingy) I retire soon, so who knows Thanx

I've always been curious Dave. How fast can comfortably cruise on a 300cc trike? How does it ride in comparison to your Japanese bikes? If you had to would you Tour on it like 700 to 1,000 miles, forgetting the reliability issue, or do you think it would beat you up?

I've always been curious Dave. How fast can comfortably cruise on a 300cc trike? How does it ride in comparison to your Japanese bikes? If you had to would you Tour on it like 700 to 1,000 miles, forgetting the reliability issue, or do you think it would beat you up? This trike is great for around town. I can do 55 all day long, but not much over that for any long period on a major hiway. Road trips, I don't believe would be a good idea. Although I've had no major mechanical issues (other than a rad hose springing a leak) I just ain't totally comfortable going a long distance. However, forgetting the reliability issue, it needs a back rest. The seat sucks after a couple hours. The positioning of the bars is great, don't have to stretch out, and no need for risers The windshield does a great job of deflecting all the wind. The back tires are wide and narrow, resulting in feeling evey damn bump in the road. I got it for mobility reasons. Most days, I just don't feel like putting on my leg, and just go with cruitches, strap em on and go. My Wing and Shadow Sabre, well, that's a totally different issue. I've done well over 100K miles in the last few years, till the accident. a couple cross countries, many trips from Colo to "Tx, Calif, Az, etc. Most I did was 950 in one day, Minn to Denver. Our riding group would do 400-500 mile day rides. I'm thinking of triking the Wing and gong back to road trips. But, this particular 300cc trike, is only going around town.

Thanks. I was wondering how it stacked up from a motorcyclist's POV. I hope you get the Wing on a trike kit. They're too good to sit idle.
