This is kind of a transfer from key chain and tee shirt,,,I'm always on the lookout, for older bikes with low miles that are whole,,i cruise CL ,,older honda being the #1 choice,,but i'll grab just about anything if the condition and price is right ,,,i'm in 80-100 homes a year for what i do and i can't even tell you how many scooters i saw in garages and turned my nose up at them because i had no interest,,,things will be different now,,,since getting into the smaller end of the spectrum it'll be interesting what turns up,,,, hopefully it will be a nice mid sixties thing

Lambretta is the other Italian scooter of note. I would imagine that there are numerous examples in garages out there.

usually when i'm done with a build there's not much left of what i originally bought,,,my last harley build probably 40-50% of the bike ended up in boxes,,,and i'd estimate 70% of the engine went away,,and if i would have gotten the ssr sonic (if they would have ever delivered the thing) i would have been happy and i would have hot rodded the sh*t out of it,,,i'm actually a little disappointed with the aftermarket support for the et,,,i've not found anyone who's really building them,,and i might just leave it as is, save bitubo suspenders front and back and a euro head lite and mirrors then call it a wrap,,, as i've said several times on here and other forums i'm not brand or cc size loyal ,,i think KZ absolutely will get 75000+ miles out the scooter he mentioned earlier, with proper maintainance and care ,, a hand built anything is awsome and is a thing of beauty ,,if i can raise performance levels inexpensively and still retain reliability ,,i'm in,,,no matter where it comes from, they're all just a pile of parts,,half of my builds were registered as reconstructions,, with the dmv inspectors asking is that thing,, so i'm not shy of wrenches and machine tooling ,,i use the base whatever i'm going to build as a starting point and let it fly to where it needs to go,,there's nothing better than drilling a squid on a nice sportbike with the super hammer sportster in the canyons,,they can't get over gettin smoked by a girls bike especially with a relic like myself at the helm

Once again you display your lack of knowledge Luke. Better Japanese equipment than yours has been scrapped because the repair bill was more than the piece was worth. 750 Hondas, Z-1 Kawasakis, Suzuki GS 1100s, All the Honda CX 500 and 650s....... If John hadn't repaired his poorly designed load of stuff himself the repair bill would have topped $2000 from a dealer. Do you think anyone who owns a Morph or Majesty would pay that?? No, your bath tub is just as disposable as a MC 54-250B. You bought a spare to save on parts as I recall. Most of us don't have the storage space.

Kz is absolutely correct,,,if you factor in labor it usually pushes the envelope of what a customer has in their mind of costs, thats why i said in a very early post when i joined this forum" i don't count the money or my head would explode",,,,and thats just parts and machining,,,i do all the assembly and diagnostics ,,i generally eclipse the value of the machine before the actual build starts,,,,theres a company in japan that brings cb750's up to superbike level,,,awsome crazy builds,,,$38,000 for the base model PLUS extras,,,i could shove $2500-$3000 into a chinese scoot in the blink of an eye,,,BUT it's a never ending persuit of diminished returns,,,more , more, more,,i'm trying to get off that train,,,i got tired of constantly sh*tt*ng my pants over my bikes and longed for the early days of riding where i had a decent machine mildly done and i was happy,,low buck low stress FUN ,,and there shouldn't be a fight about who's got the better this or that,,you LUKE,, like your morph,,it's not my cup of tea but you love it i say GOOD ON YA LADDIE!!!!!,,KZ and myself like a more practical and traditional design,,,HAPPY F**KING DAY FOR US!!!!!,,,

Save your pity for poor fools who spent way too much on a poorly designed scooter that has to be carried around on a trailer instead of being ridden. I know better than that. Oh, and unlike you, I know how to get a Chinese scooter to run and last.

Don't pity me at least I can buy anything I want when I want,,I just happen to be a cheap bastard when it comes to buying bikes and having the high dollar machines doesn't equate to "better" ,,,, better is reliability , ridability, longevity, parts availability, acceleration , suspension , brakes the whole package,,, want to find out how "good" the morph is?,,, take it for a few laps of a motocross track,,, kz's little 50 will eat the morph alive all while getting double the mileage,,, so as I said better is what you like,, for you,,, you like long and low? Great!!! I like nimble and lite good for me

anyways luke whats deal with the personal campaign against chinese built scooters?,,,did you buy one and get burnt bad or what?,, You can't tell me that a vespa lx 150 thats $4500 plus 440 freight and 90 setup and tax and license out the door at $5500 out the door is five times as good as a properly set up zen or ssr150? i don't think so,,,now sure the chinese scoot may need more TLC in the beginning needing more setup and prep but as i've seen on other forums some people are getting great overall mileage numbers out of chinese stuff

The man is 76 years old! What else does he have to do with his time? He cant even take Viagra at that age so the next best thing is having that HUGE thing between his legs instead.
