How about a pictures of your intake vacuum hoses and around the carb and or Video of how it idles and how it does when you open the throttle like you say 1/8-1/4 of an inch. Just because it runs good past say 5 mph does not mean the carbs fuel ratio is correct. Big difference in starting and idle and low rpms that is where the fuel ratio mixture has to be almost right on. Alleyoop

a small vac leak would cause low rpm probs, a stumble off idle,,a low rpm mixture prob would cause this symptom

I tried to think back to when this started and I think its when i took off the performance variator about 2 months ago and put the stock back on along with the heavier weights. The rpms just werent up there like they were with the performance variator off the line. WHat I think may have been happening was that for some odd reason my takeoff is faster and at a higher rpm than with the stock variator. Weighing 250 lbs it takes some force to move the beast off the line with me on it..
So I went back and put on the performance variator and now the issues seems to be gone...hmmm.,,interesting.
WHY?
