Sleeping import agents? Paperwork foul up? A few bucks under the table? Guess which Scooterdoc member isn't going to actively pursue a tank or fume control retrofit? It might explain the fuel tank venting issue on the V-5 though.

if theyre talking charcoal canisters then they dont know that those things hardly work right from the start. my 2011 scoot has just a hole in the filler neck for venting. is the ones that have the canister california approved and if they dont have it then theyre just approved for the other states? hmmmm...

No he won't. I'll just ask him how come he didn't post the Yamaha recalls for corroding electrical connections and leaking fuel pumps. My scoot has a nice open vent hose from the filler neck to the underside of the scooter, the same as my Bashan. What's the problem?

WOW!! I bet others that are importing without emissions are scrambling. I would bet they are also going to check other importers of scoots.

nothing. thats how mine is from the factory. a hole in the side of the filler neck. i meant he would make fun of cfmoto

Geez you guys i was answering his question about which scootdoc member wasn't going to persue fixing the emission problem,,,of course it isn't luke are you serious?,,he's lucky he knows how to put gas in the damned tub he rides/trailers,,,whatever he does,,,and yes Alley i'll just bet they are running hard to correct any issues,,CF will be scutinized very closely from now on to assure compliance,,,i just submitted my scaqmd yearly compliance usage just yesterday,,,you do not want to mess with those guys,,,they are a$$holes of the highest order,,,if CF doesn't do their best to correct the issues and pay the fines they very well may loose their import and D.O.T. certs,,,

Now, now. I was curious how they'll refit the bikes and ATVs from all the dealers they stabbed? How will that work Cookees?

well if it's anything at all like an automotive "recall" they either send a letter or call or both to the original purchaser,,,stating the problem and the "fix" that needs to be performed on the vehicle,,,hopefully the idiots will have sent the correct number of retrofit parts to the dealers according to the amount they ordered ,,,and if they still have some of the affected bikes left over unsold they have to fix them before they can be sold,,i would imagine if they sell them after the date major problems

I feel like one of Bashan's ex-girlfriends.... used and abused.

I was one of CFMOTO's biggest cheerleaders...got them at least three other dealers. Believed the president of CFMOTO China when he looked me right in the eye...and lied. So in retrospect, this newest debacle with the EPA really shouldn't surprise anyone.
