I read a guy's blog who owns a 250 Vespa. His didn't come with a sidestand either, for $6000!!. He said the European models are equipped with one but not American models. Maybe it's to keep costs down. You wouldn't want to have to pay that additional cost now would you.

Is it a heavy bike? That would be really problematic for me. I always put my side stand down, get off, and then sometimes use the center stand. I'd hate to try and get off while holding the bike up, turn around, and then put it on the center stand. Also, the Citycom has a pretty tall hump between the seat and dash that is kinda hard to get my leg over. How's the Vespa in that regard Pete?

I've always been told the bike is more stable on the side stand. This is not the case on mine. On the side stand, it's only about 3 degrees from being totally upright. Any of you guys know if I can adjust this? I've been using the center stand every time.

with Vespa, it's the "high self esteem" and ""peace of mind" that you're buying. when i had my chinese scooter for three months, my morale is very low due to severe embarassment, it always stall in the middle of the intersection i get dirty finger all the time because i cause traffic, but with mirohous? all i get are praises from people, i see people literally drop their jaw when they see it. i have a very high spirits whenever i ride my morphous. makes me happy! its all that matters. right?

No way to adjust the angle on the sidestand Doc. The centerstand is easy to use and more stable. It's not like you have to heft a 450 pound Morphous. Been around lately Luke. Borg has already had to deal with a leaking fuel....oh yeah, you did too. Darn those leaking "Peace of Mind" scooters. You know if you had come to us when you had the Chinese scooter we'd have told you how to fix it. Then you would have had something to ride. BTW I missed your post when you apoligized to Doc Rocco when he got it started. I guess it was quite sincere when you told him how much you admired him for doing something you weren't able to do. Is the trailer all serviced for the season?

It was a joke Doc. Believe me you're not missing a thing. I'll copy and paste when he buys a Linhai 400 for you when the time comes.

I just like to keep an eye on him so when he starts fibbing about China scoots I can debunk it. He won't dare say anything about me. 1) I have three running China bikes and he couldn't do one. 2) I ride just as many miles as he does and I have six months of winter to deal with to his no winter. 3) I've posted pictures and videos of my rides. He's posted a picture of his un-running scooter on a trailer. I have him covered.
