PLEASE HELP ME!! Changed spark plug which was bad and when I twist the throttle to high it still bogs down like it wants to quit. Fuel filter is fine, been using premium fuel, oil is good, only have almost 1000 miles. WOT acts like it can't breath or something, can't outrun my dog anymore...any ideas so sad scooter!!!!! Thank you in advance

Sounds like a fuel problem. Have you cleaned your Air Filter, if its dirty and or fuel soaked you are flooding the engine at WOT. The other is it could be running LEAN. To find out which it is RUNNING RICH or RUNNING LEAN at WOT Do the Following:
1. When it BOGS Back off the Throttle about 1/8-1/4 and HOLD IT THERE. a.) If the engine SURGES forward(picks up speed) then your running LEAN. b.) If the engine STUMBLES then Recovers your running RICH. Alleyoop

Might need to clean the carb too, try this link for a few diagnostics and please get back to us, don't give up, they are fixable. CHECKLIST FOR PROBLEM SCOOTERS You might want to swap out you coil, they go bad a lot and will act just like that. Rich.

Before I try valve adjusting should I remove carb and clean it to see if that was the issue?

Before I try valve adjusting should I remove carb and clean it to see if that was the issue? If the scoot was running good and slowly started running like crap and you havent adjusted your valves since you got the scoot I would do the valve adjust first. My scoot ran good up to about 500 miles and performance slowly degraded and I adjusted them around 700 miles. If it was a new scoot and you put 1000 miles on it without adjusting the valves Im surprized it even starts and runs now. -Zug

cool...thank you very much zug. By the way is valve adj very difficult dude? Nah its pretty easy. Heres the tutorial link. scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=engine&action=display&thread=140On my Riviera I had to remove the seat/bucket and the plastic panel on the front side of the seat. I didnt remove the bottom pan but it probably would have helped. Then I just removed the valve cover and adjusted like in the tutorial. The worst part of doing the valve adjustment is trying not to break any of the tabs off or cracking the plastic panels. -Zug
