I think this question is aimed at alleyoop,,,but all are welcome to help out,,,my vespa has a curious condition that no matter cold or hot when i chop the throttle i get engine braking,,,,and the clutch doesn't release till i'm doing 10mph or less coming up to a stop even tho i'm off throttle for 10 seconds or so,,,,clutch sticking closed?,,,,disassemble and clean and lube pivot points?,,,it is more pronounced when cold but it is there when hot too just not as "bad"

time to replace your oil seal brother, oil keeps on sipping thru the bell and the clutch pad.... Vespa is a very fine machine, if it keeps on bogging, the owner that does the maintenance has the problem, not the scooter. i think borger blocked me, can somebody make sure that he gets this message? thank you!

Notice the rpms when cold and hot and I would venture to say the RPMS hang when cold and do not drop fast enough but do when hot. If the rpms are the same then I would do as you mentioned lube the pivot points on the arms. Alleyoop

When you say you get engine braking are you saying you expect it to act like a clutch on a bike and disengage like you pulled the lever? Not happening. Engine RPM keeps the variator expanded and the clutch arms won't drop until centrifugal force decreases from rear wheel spin. My 150cc does exactly what you're saying. I actually was annoyed that it free wheeled at 10 mph and figured it was belt slop.
