Guys I have tried yo start my scooter today for the first time in 3 weeks. This scooter is a fuel injected model. With the kick stand up, all I should have to do is squeeze the rear brake and press the start button, after the fuel injector symbol lights up-but it doesn't light up and hence can't start the scooter. I'm suspecting the ecu, any thoughts guys.
Thanks in advance.
Joe

I know with mine sometimes when they sit for more than a day or two can be harder to start. I would check your spark plug and make sure it has gas on it and go from there mabey put plug on case and also check for spark to.

Thanks for your advice, however it won't crank over at all. The battery is fine though. When I push the start button nothing happens - nothing! From memory when the ignition key is on you should hear the bike come 'alive' but nothing. All fuses are ok.

Charge up your battery it is weak, the ECU needs 12v to work as well as the electric start. Your scoot probably has an alarm and or remote start and those drain juice from the battery just sitting there. Alleyoop

Yes, parasitic drain. Alley's right...those systems need a robust charge to hit. Put a mega charge on it and if it still won't start we can explore some options.

Ok, when you turn the key on do any lights come on gauges etcc.. Also when you squeeze the brake to try and start it do your brake lights come on?
It may be a fuse blew and the whole scoot is dead. Check a red thin wire coming off the battery on most scoots there is a fuse right there about 6 inchs away on the wire from the battery. If that fuse is blown nothing from the battery is getting to the IGNITION KEY. Alleyoop

Sounds like you need a new batterie if it is not charging I would start there. It's alright to tell us if the kill switch was of to I did the same thing when I first got my scoot.

Well gents & ladies, i would like to update on the status of my scooter. To cut a long story short it was the fuel injection module.i tried everything else as others have suggested, though i had already got to the stage myself. i rang the dealer here in australia and he was going to sell me the module for around $730. I managed to buy it via a website called buychinatao for $320. I had only just got the unit today. I installed it and it was running in under 5 mins, and spent an hour reassembling the bodywork. Best of all I didn't get ripped off by the local agent and dealer. Thankyou to those that helped. from what i understand the scooter sold under many different models, Honda also have an identical scooter as this, so let thus be a lesson for all. Joe
