Hello everyone. Just looking for some points before I get into this bike. I got this bike running last fall after it was sitting for years! My friend has been riding it this spring when he came to a stop the bike just died or quit. I know it could be fuel or spark related. All the lights work and the engine cranks but it won't fire. Just looking for some points before I take all those panels off! Thanks in advance, Scott

Scott I would check for spark, also see if plug is getting gas, also there is probley a fuse that is somewhere near the baterie I would check that. Alley or basham will see this soon and point you in the right direction.

The two things Jvino, said to check are the first things to verify, check to make sure you have spark BY GROUNDING IT ON THE MOTOR(not the frame) and if fuel is flowing to the CARB.
After that then if it is a 4 stroke motor the valves need to be checked and adjusted. If they have tightened up the motor will not have enough compression and they will die at low rpms and very hard to start if they are really tight.
After that if all the above is good and still no go then we need to verify GAS is being sucked into the intake. If it has a killswitch make sure it is in the RUN position happens to many folks they accidently hit it and turn it off they do not think about the killswitch. Alleyoop

It just quit and won't start? Check that the kill switch is in the right position. He might have tripped it coming to a sudden halt. My wife's Honda does it all the time.
Another thought would be to check if the spark plug cap is still on. My 150 used to pop off. A new NGK plug cap cured that.

Thanks, everyone turned out to be a fuel pump hose that worked its way loose. I put a new clamp on it we should be good to go now. Scott
