Well here i am again now not with a flooding issue from overfilling the et4 and having it go into the evac system and flooding the sh!t out of everything (diagnosed indirectly from another post that i remembered by Alleyoop),,,now i have a fuel starvation problem,,,tore the carb apart,,,clean as a whistle (again),,,so it boils down to the vacuum fuel tap not working correctly or the hose from the tap to the carb or the fuel inlet spigot is clogged with some mystery dirt or something,,,maybe the delivery hose is compromised inside,,,so they all get changed anyways,,,vac lines ,,fuel hose ,,,i pulled and capped all the extra vac lines for the evac system ,,,enough of this nonsense,,,one more problem and i go with a keihnin pe28 and the cv carb pos will be gone,,,

Now on some GOOFY setups the gas tank outlet is on top of the gas tank and not on the bottom. Which makes it a little more difficult for a fuel pump to SUCK out fuel to the Fuel Pump to then PUMP it up to the CARB. IN these systems the PICK UP TUBE or HOSE inside the tank may be compromised by maybe not reaching down far enough into the tank. Or if its some kind of plastic or rubber it may have cracks in it or deteriorated and now when the level gets below either the crack or broken piece you have fuel starvation. But here is how to test your fuel delivery: scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/7723/check-fuel-deliveryAlleyoop

Well if it keeps on running after closing the Fuel Ratio Screw AND you did not change out the PILOT JET here are some things that would cause that. 1. The fuel ratio screw no longer has a point on it to cut off fuel in the passage 2. It is sucking gas from someplace else like the Vacuum lines from the Petcock or Fuel Pump, or there is an AIR restriction to the carb. 3. The ENRICHER is not shutting off the extra fuel and is staying retracted. 4. If there is fuel in the Air Filter tubing then I would suspect the carb bowl is overfilling some.
The Dead spot is most likely to much fuel. Alleyoop
