Hi. I hope I'm in the right place for this. I have a 2012 jonway 250 cc scoot. Roadster. The fan has stopped working and I wanted to know if you know of a better grade fan that I can use in its place. I believe it has to be 3 amps or less correct? I just want a better built fan because all of the parts on this scoot are not the best of quality. Can you help me please?

I have purchased from Silicone Intakes and have never been disappointed. They have a wide variety of choices in size and amps.

Yes, I mainly ride a SYM Citycom 300i. I have a 150cc Bashan naked bike, a CF Moto Pegasus, a CF Moto Fashion, and a Puma 150cc.

Ok. I know that the OEM fan is approx. 4-5 in. Diameter. The fan that I bought is approx7" diameter pulling 3 amps. I noticed that it was too big to fit like the old fan did so, I widdled away at it until it fit dead center of the radiator. I bolted it on with bolts and nuts. (Double nuts as a safety) BAM!!! It is perfectly centered and mounted. This is how it looks. Does anyone think that this will cause a problem with the weather(water) being that it does not have a shield to keep it from getting soaked? Any ideas? BTW, It moves a heck of a lot more air than the original fan and just as or quieter than the OEM one. Check it out. i57.tinypic.com/2ir3ips.jpgi61.tinypic.com/2ztiyic.jpgHere it is the bike with the fan and the grill that I had to alter. Well, what do you think? i58.tinypic.com/2v8leg1.jpg

Oh sure JV, the 250's are water cooled and have a fan that turns on and off with the thermosensor. My 150 Pegasus has a radiator. It was overheating so I zip tied a heater coil to the OEM radiator, and attached a Silicone Intake fan onto it and the thing never gets close to running hot now. I think it's the same fan Abracy got. And no AB, I wouldn't worry about shielding it. JV, here's my Pegasus with the piggy back radiator:
