Thanks to all of you for teaching me a little.I saw the post on how the wiring is supposed to work and have a bit better understanding of it.

I rode my scoot to a friends that has a 2 car garage today and removed the 4 bolts/nuts holding the bucket under the seat.It will not come out?It looks like I would have to remove the side covers to get it to pull up.We tested the battery and it was putting out 12+ and a little higher when running but still in the 12 + range.I tried squeezing the brake levers with the fuse out/ignition on and no brake light or remote start. We put a fuse in and everything works, including the remote..lights,turn signals, gas guage, horn, start button, engine, kill switch. I guess it is a loose wire somewhere that sometimes touches and grounds itself out and blows the fuse. Now to just find it...My friend that has the garage is having 4 bypass surgery Wed.,so I didn`t want to tie up his garage.I`ll just keep looking for a loose or rubbing wire........

I attempted to remove the seat/cargo box today and was unable to get it out.Didn`t want to crumple it as it looks like made of cardboard.I did find a removeable 4x5 panel on the right rear fender/body and traced the large red wire from the battery+ side to the the solenoid.I used the kick starter to get it running and checked what gauges, etc. worked...all lights worked, high and low beam, turn signals, tail light and brake light when rear brake lever squeezed, horn, quick off switch stopped engine....the two things that stop working when the small red fused wire burns the fuse out are the starter button on right handlebar and the theft/remote start device on my key chain.I`ll just kick start it till I get it figured out.I would like to remove the alarm/remote device while I get it fixed too,as it is noisey and goes off sometimes even after I press the unlock button. It might be in my pocket it gets activated but I`d rather live without it. I looked for manuals on Amazon and saw one Hayne`s one on scooters????Does anyone have suggestions on a good one for Chinese mfgd. scooters?Maybe a wiring diagrahm would be in it.Getting the seat/storage compartment out will make it able for me to see all the parts.Has anyone here removed a remote/alarm device and what am I looking for? Thanks again for all the help and pointers from you all.I`ll get there even if I am slow and a dim bulb...We got almost 3 inches of rain...much needed too....

I`ll have to get back tomorrow evening,if it isn`t raining.Got it coverd and under the porch eve.I`ll get a flashlight tomorrow and start looking for what goes where. It only has 700 miles, but I did read that Chinese scooters had some weak spots and wireing and rubber items were two that were mentioned.

It was wired as it is when I bought it 2 years ago and never been worked on and worked just fine till 2 days ago,so at least I know now the big red goes to the solenoid. When I replaced the fuse it cranks right up,but in a short time it blows the fuse again.I have replaced the fuse twice. The NAPA salesman said I have a short somewhere????I guess he is right. It`s just read hard to see things behind all that plastic.Pretty it is but kinda in the way for working on it.

There is a fused red wire in the battery space/compartment that keeps burning out, which renders the electric starter non functional.I can still kick start it and all lights and gauges work, once started.Just no electric start? ?I have a 50cc Chinese scoot..there are 2 red and one black wires in the battery space...The larger red wire must go to the starter? and black ground. What is the smaller fused wire going to?,,,and for what purpose? The fuse is a 15 amp glass one and the wire on one side of it is the kind that will also burn out if overloaded. If I had some clue of what connection I`m looking for it may help.
