Hello all, I have bought a couple of performance kits before on amazon for my scooters and all have worked right. I bought one not too long ago that came with a spark plug, performance coil plug, gas filter, air filter and blue CDI, I installed everything but the air filter. Now the problem I am having is that when I plug in the blue CDI the scooter starts but then turns off, I plug the stick one back up and it starts right away. I really want to use the blue one. Any suggestions what might be going on? I got it from amazon. They are junk. Bad out of the pack. I find enlongating the bolt holes in the pick up on the flywheel so that the contact point is advanced will give you a real 2 to 3 ° spark advance

Removed carb, cleaned, and reinstalled. The only part I was not sure where it came from was a tiny (3/26") O ring so I guessed. I checked suction from manifold which seemed adequate and made sure vacuum opened the gas valve. I also cleaned the gas valve tube into the tank which was scuzzy. When I tried to restart the scooter gas comes out of the throat of the carb. ?? The carb is an HK CVK. What are the odds of getting one that matches? There's a little side plate it seals one of the ports

That O ring goes on the under that little side plate. You will see where when, you remove the screw

Check the weight of the rollers, heaver rollers give higher speeds. As lighter rollers give slower speeds with more bottom end torque. 4 gram weights are considered light weight, good pulling out power. 6 to 8 gram rollers are good for the top end, however you will lose bottom end torque .

I have had similar problems also. I am curious just where do you have the "air/mixture ratio" screw" set on the carb? I have finally got mine adjusted and starting and stopping good now. I screwed mine in all the way and then turn counterclockwise 1 1/2 turns. Also what is the clearance on the Valves. I have found .004 thousandths to work the best. I tried .005 but that was a tad too much. Do a compression test. You should have at least a hundred and 120 psi. Low compression will be a result of valves or rings. I like to pull the head old remove the studs. Then pull a vacume as if you were sucking on a pop bottle. If your lips stick then your good. If not your valves need reseated. A Keith of vacume line that fits right on the valve steem, the other end in a drill with a bit in the line. Remove keepers and springs. A small amount of lapping compound and start spining the valve you can hear the grit dissipate as it does it's job. It will spin out just wipe it back in to the surface being seated, it doesn't take much to do the job

The belt cover must been on in order for the starter to engage. The gy6 50cc engines has a bushing in the belt cover that the bendix uses to hold it in place. You can see the 150 4stroke and 50cc 2 stroke function, but not the 50 4stroke
