That is not hesitating that is called hard starting. And hard starting can be caused by a weak battery not able to turn the motor over fast enough, carb not adjusted right, fouled plug etc.. Alleyoop Ok. It's the battery. I am using an old battery not meant for this power.. thats why I had the spark problem.. I have to charge the battery every other day for it to work good. Is there a problem starting it like that for a couple days till I get a new battery?

You mean you start it and you go to take off and you open throttle? How much throttle do you give it? If you crank it wide open and it hesitates needs a litte more fuel Turn the Fuel mixture screw about 1/2 turn counter clockwise. It it gets worse with that sitting then turn it back 1/2 turn plus 1/4 more. Alleyoop I give it throttle and it doesn't hesitate. I am saying it hesitates when starting... like it takes a while to start it, then every time after that, it starts fine.

Ok let's check if it is to much fuel or not enough. Crank it trying to start it and THEN take the spark plug out. If it is WET to much fuel or Weak or no spark. If it is DRY not enough fuel. Alleyoop I have read that post of yours over and over.. and I can not figure out if I am lean or not.. it sounds good and drives good.

Alleyoop Here is a pic.. i.imgur.com/jj8bGznh.jpgI found the issue... it was a weak battery. I was charging the battery while cranking and it started right up, I will go out and buy a new battery today. Thanks for all the help, I still need to do the fuel thing and the idle thing though.

Oh you already have feeler gauges I took your previous post as not having any and where looking for some other way to gap them..LOL oh well. Yours is a 50cc so do .003 inchs on the intake and .004 on the exhaust or do BOTH to .003 inchs. Alleyoop Damn! The valves were perfect the entire time. I even had my my father help me with them and he said they are perfect. No why the hell won't this thing start? Once again... today it tried to start.. I heard the exhaust about to grab and then it died. I'll try to get it started and regulate the fuel again. My dad thinks it's getting too much fuel not enough air. Won't start. I have a big river in fhe back yard.. maybe it needs to be "cleaned"... >

HAHAHA, no just cut a strip about 1/4-3/8 inchs wide about 3 inchs long and use that as a Feeler Gauge. The .003 inchs is the actual thickness of the beer can or soda can which is the thickness you want as a gap in the valves OR go to an autoparts store and buy a set of Feeler gauges that has .003 and .004 feeler gauges in the set. Alleyoop Lol.. ok. I got some for like 7 bucks. So do I do .003 or .004 for the intake and what number for the exhaust?

Cool, and yes your the first to call me that(HAHA). But anywhos to gap the valves cut out a piece from a beer can or soda can that is about .003 inchs thick so that will work. Alleyoop With what do I measure .003 inches? A ruler? I'm lost.

Yes correct on the compression on a 4 stroke, also the rings can be a problem but if the rings were shot it would be burning oil and throwing out blueish smoke out the muffler. Alleyoop Ok, well.. it stinks, but no colored smoke. Thanks.

I will do that.. at least I'll try.. and this is a 4 stroke.. do the valves control the compression on a 4 stroke? After this I think the last thing I need to do is the fuel screw and the idle screw, and the scooter should be good for a while.

HAHAHAHA, it is not as bad as you make it out to be really. Once you have the carb adjusted right and the valves it should run just fine. If you go for the BRAND scooters you will not be able to work on it yourself and make sure you have a good paying job cause they take you to the cleaners for parts and labor. Plus you will have to leave the scoot at the shop and when its your turn they will get to it. So expect at least a week or 2 before they work on it. Alleyoop I am planning on getting a motorcycle in about half a year.. I will keep that in mind.. also, I am planning on getting a job soon.. I prefer to work on stuff myself even though I'm not that smart in this area of work.
