My tire is tubeless. I fixed the puncture and it seems air tight, but as rks points out, if the seal bursts at 60 mph, I could die, so I will probably just change the tire today.
cyborg, out of curiosity, exactly which repair kit are you talking about?

My ten-inch tire is size 3.50-10. It has a nail puncture in middle of the tread. If I buy a tire repair kit with probe, needle, and rubber strings, will it fix the leak permanently? Or will it eventually leak again?

Get a cardboard overnight mailing envelope and place it on your chest under your outer jacket. It will keep you noticeably warmer during cold days. Try it. It works. No need to pin it your clothing. It stays in place by itself.

Or better yet... Act like drivers see you and are trying to kill you.

What about my 1998 Yamaha Riva 125cc? Its top speed is 60 mph in calm winds. Should I stay below 50 mph?

Oops. Then I am killing my engine. I guess I need a 250cc after all.

Do you think WOT everyday will kill EVERY scooter? Or do you think something was wrong with his scooter?

drmartin, those blinkers may be illegal depending on your state. I would make myself look like a Christmas tree if it were legal to do so.

I watched this safety video when I got my scooter three months ago. It was made in the 1980's just like my scooter. It is excellent. I think about it every time I ride.....

I'm leaning toward getting a 150cc in the future just so I can use the freeway "if needed". In other words, I will take side roads most of the time, but if I do a long road trip, sometimes it is very hard to avoid some freeway sections.
I'm wondering if riding behind a slow 18-wheeler on the freeway would work. Not too close of course. Cars will just go around me and the 18-wheeler. And if I can stop a lot faster than the 18-wheeler if it brakes quickly.
I just rode my longest ride ever today. 125 miles. I loved every minute. I want to do a multi-day road trip with my 125cc.
