Alleyoop here is an update... I have crossed the wires you suggested and it worked!!! Thank you so much !!! The scooter now turns over, the lights on the speedo light up as the motor turns over, same with the brake & head lights... I even almost started the scooter... Turns out i have another problem... i have no spark, for a moment it sounded like it would start but didn't... I tested the sparkplug by taking the plug out and grounding the end to the frame while trying to start it. Now i'm searching the forums for troubleshooting guides.... I noticed one of the two small wires from the coil had very low voltage going to it when trying to start.. it was .25V+ Alleyoop Any advice where to start?

cyborg, i have checked all the fuses i could find. they are all good... i'll have to test the rear bulbs as that i did not test them... i also have one missing... not sure if that would cause an issue but i will check... Do you have a module next to your ignition wires?

cyborg Thank you so much for the replying so quickly... i tried to jump the wires to the tail lights but would get a buzzing sound around the battery area... my guess is that i'm send to much power to the taillight... it did not light up the bulb btw... i decided to stop not to burn anything up... lol

Wow.. thank you for the fast reply... I have purchased and installed the new ignition switch already, it came with the keys n all... when i turn the key all the way to the run position it seems dead as described above... i was hoping it was going to be that easy... lol but it's not. Do you have this same scooter by any chance?

Hello, I really need some help, I bought a JMstar yy250t scooter that had a missing ignition... Here's the story: The lady i bought it from said it was her brothers, his key broke in half in the ignition so he took it apart to replace it, he ended up in the hospital due to an illness, and passed away... I have replaced the ignition switch but i am unable to start/power on the scooter all the way, what i mean by this is that only the horn will work and the turn signals blink front and back. The brake lights don't work when pressing the levers, head lights do not come on, unable to start as it seems dead... the clock does work and the battery has a good charge. I have taken all the plastics off the scooter to check the wiring for damage, following some guides here on this forum i tested the voltages to the CDI, Rectifier, etc... i have power on all black wires, and most red wires... and seems all green wires are grounded out... Last night i have discovered a 9-wire plug under the speedometer that was just hanging loose... I do not see where to plug it in and am thinking that is the problem... i have tested the plug using a volt meter and here are the results: Wires: Black - 12V + Tan - Rear Tail Light Light Blue - Rear Tail Light Green - Ground Red/Yellow - 12v + when pressing the brake lever Red - Don't Remember Brown/White - Kill Switch Black/White - Unknown the center wire powers when pressing the lever, two wires go back to the tail lights, one wire goes to the kill-switch on the handle bar, one wire is power. I have found two other plugs that look the same and those come from the handle bar switch's one for the left and one for the right...both are plugged in. Can anyone tell me where this is supposed to be plugged in if at all. I have looked for replacement modules, but the only 9wire plug modules i find are for the handle bar switch's. I'm thinking it might have went to a alarm system? does anyone else have this plug? maybe can send me a pictures of what yours is plugged into? maybe i'm looking the wrong place and i need to test/look else where... Thank you in advance for taking your time to read my post and provide any tips/hint/help.
