We here in NE Iowa always call this time of year Pergatory because there is not enough snow for the snowmobile and the weather is still too lousy to get out the scoot except for a day here and there.

How many times did Larry Storch get hit with Forrest Tuckers hat? Loved that show.

I ordered parts from three different companies and I think they got together and started a contest on who can ship the slowest. From what I can gather, One is shipping via a 1968 8hp Montgomery Wards riding lawn mower another is shipping via a 4 year old Segway with half battery power and the other is being shipped via the Fukawee Indians. Yes, I know that they can't control the package once it gets to the shipper but when it takes more than 72 hrs to pack one item and get it to the shipper for in stock items, I think is ridiculous. If I took that long, I would be out of a job.
By the way, you might be wondering, What is a fukawee Indian. That's a tribe from here in NE iowa that used to migrate south for the winter but always got lost so they had to stop and ask " Where the Fukawee"

Why did I try this you may ask. Well, I once welded two rims together on a LTD car so I could then weld rear tractor tires on. Why you may ask, I never seen it done before and people sure got a kick out of this car jacked up as it was in the parades.

Yes it does. I searched and searched to see if anyone tried this and could not find anyone who did, so I thought I would. But I only tried it on the center stand with the cvt cover off. I did not like the sound of it right away. By the way, I had spare parts just in case. No, I did not ruin anything but it sure was noisey if only for three seconds.

OK...I had to try it. I put 3 15g rollers and 3 12g sliders in the variator. That lasted for about 3 seconds. Back to all sliders. Sometimes thinking outside the box doesn't work. But hey, now I know.

New parts are on the way...variator-sliders-manifold-coil-cdi-spark plug. My fuel lines have a SAE DOT stamp and the vacuum lines have a USA stamp on them. I think I will roll the dice and see how the hoses perform before replacing. More to come.
