Great you found the problem,,, excellent!!!!! HI just changed the full variator it's made the bike a hell of a lot smoother and sounds more smooth when riding but still hasn't fixed my speed issue it seems that when the bike is running and a I apply full throttle to the bike the belt doesn't seem to go to the full edge of the variator plate there's about a centre meter and half between the belt and the edge of the variator could this have something to do with a worn belt? Thanks I'm going to take take a video tonight of the bike running and how slack the belt is.

I hate to put you through it but there may be some debris in the carb bowl that's floating around and being intermittently interfering with the jets,,,or a vacuum line or manifold cracked Found out my problem my rollers are heavily worn a part of the variator had chipped off and 1 of my fins on the first section of the variator had snapped off too so I have ordered a full new variator set up wich should be here tomorrow morning thanks for the help everybody I'll update on the speed loss tomorrow once I've installed the new stuff. Cheers

Yes, it could make a huge difference, if it's not allowing the engine to get into the RPM power band... If you need an impact, this one from Harbor Freight is what I and a lot of the folks here have. Even comes with a socket that fits! Don't forget to go to HF's Home Page and print out the 20% off coupon! Cheers ill let you know once I have checked it Hi I cheked the rollers all seems fine to me so I gave them a clean and put them back in and put the bike back together. Bere I checked the rollers I went out on the bike and it was working like normal with no power loss at all until I stopped at my front gate at my garden when I got home and then set off to drive up the garden and it had lost power again? I thought maybe a loose connector or earth wire so I'm going to have a look today and see if I can find anything loose? Thanks

Have you checked the valves yet? Have you taken the variator off to make sure all the rollers are in place? Hi thecableguy iv checked the valves they are fine but I haven't had chance to check the rollers yet as I don't have a impact driver would it make a performance different if there was something wrong with my variator? Thanks ken

Happily riding down the street when all of a sudden I lost power it felt like someone had pressed a button and I lost power but could still slowly creep and hit 40mp the 'roar' from my exhaust went silent it was as if I was riding a 50cc not a 125cc. Iv done the usual checks and cleaned the carb etc. I took the kick start cover off and started the bike because I read on another forum that my roller could be stook and i heard this knocking sound The bike first lost power after running for a few minutes the first few days but now it's just at a power loss from starting. Any ideas thanks
It's a lexmoto zoom 2 125cc 2011 plate with 8000 miles on the clock
