Scrappydogscooters.com is your best bet. 50cc's isn't alot to work with though. Variator and carb is going to be the best starting points. Just my opinion though. Like the man said, it's really how much time and money you have and how much your willing to invest. My buddy was a scooter mechanic by profession an he had his 50cc running at around 50mph, he was keeping up with our 150s, I couldn't freekin belive it. But again, there was alot of $ and time that he sunk into it.

Hey SB, I live on the w. Coast about an hour from you. You can buy a replacement battery now days at walmart for under $30. I've got a 150cc and it was $32 for mine. yours should be the same if not cheaper. They're good for about 2 years if you don't let them set for over a few months without using. Sounds like as much as you ride that you should not have a problem with it keeping itself charged. Make sure your battery posts are connected good and tight and keep an extra fuse handy if your scooter has a fuse. Those china fuses are notorious for blowing and can often show no signs of being blown. You can get a spare at your local walmart or quickmart for under a $1.00.
