Hey
I have a 50cc gy6 4-stroke moped with starting problems. When it is cold weather like 2 degrees celcius my scooter starts very hard. When i use the startmotor it will just crank but not fire. When i use the kickstarter it will only start after if i am lucky 50 kicks. When the motor is warm it will start with like 2 kicks but when i use the electric start it will not start. It is so bad that if i start the moped and turn it off and i try with the electric start nothing happens but with one kick it will fire right up. When it is more than 16 degrees celcius the scooter will start with electric start and kickstart. And when it is not very cold but also not very warm the electric start will do nothing but just cranks but with 4 kicks it will start. When the moped runs it runs great.
So what i have tried and tought off.
I have set the valves 0.004 and 0.005(i did not have the right feeler blades only 0.004 so it may not been perfect) I have checked the spark and looks very strong with kick and electric start. I have replaced the automatic choke. Maybe the oil is to thick so that the motor wont crank fast enough but the oil is 5w40 which is not that thick.
I could not think off anything else hope you guys may know something.
Greetings Sieuwe
