We had a lot of fun last Xmas running the solar car at night in the local "Electric Light Parade". (It sat in the sun all day to charge). For the night, it became "Santa's Solar Sleigh" with me driving and my wife and one of my installers dressed as elves giving out 10,000 candy canes to kids on the route. Lots of fun... Most of the entrants had generators to light up their floats - we were the only self-contained, all electric vehicle in the parade. (My worst fear was that we'd die in the dark along the parade route, but we made it through the parade, a celebratory dinner, and a ride home in the dark with no problems). It had 1,000 LED Xmas lights and 3 LED spotlights to illuminate the signage on the sides and rear. Total draw from the inverter connected to a marine battery was only 70 watts - just a bit more than a 60 watt bulb to illuminate over 1,000 LEDS. \-lee-/
