WE HAVE SPARK! Turns out the CDI that came on the bike was a DC. I pulled the wire at the 6 position and turned on the key and got 12v at that connector. Tada .. so the green from the stator did go to ground and the Blue white from the stator does go to the kill circuit wiring ... but ... the kill circuit wire was in the 5th position as if it were wired to an AC cdi. Once I moved that wire to the number 1 position ... Spark!
The left side 2 pin connector only gets a power wire from battery to the 6 and the 5 is empty.

I cant seem to locate the Pickup coil wire. I would have assumed its near the stator but the only wires I see coming from the area is the starter (large red wire) and the stator bundle of 5 wires but for the life of me I cant locate the trigger wire.

Good Day everyone! First post so bear with me. I restored and ride a 1982 Suzuki Gs750E and own an old car so while I wouldnt say I am fair mechanic .. I do come with a little knowledge but scooters is a whole newish thing.
I just picked up a Kingcraft 150cc scooter. I cleaned up some wiring and put on a recently charged battery. I can get it to spin but like so many others .. I get no spark.
There is a new CDI and starter and solinoid. I tested the ignition coil and across the two terminals I got 0.00 on ohms but from Positive side to end of spark plug boot I got 9.4 so I think the coil is good.
Having experienced some issues with the stator on my motorcycle I started looking critically at that. Now I must mention I downloaded some 20 different manuals and have been interneting since 8am and have seen a few "no spark threads"
Here are my more specific questions.... I am fairly sure the three orange wires and the blue and green are coming up from my stator. I disconnected the Blue and green which I take to be the power and trigger wires and disconnected them. I put my meter on 200 AC and put the red lead to the Blue wire and the Negative from the meter to a pair spot on the frame and cranked the bike and ... Nothing. I did the same with the Green wire and still nothing. I am pretty sure I should have gotten a positive voltage anywhere from 50V ac to 100V ac .... Or .. I messed up? Is it stator time?
I also noticed that my CDI seems to be missing a wire for the Trigger Pickup module .. I admit .. I dont yet know what a pickup module is or does.
The scooter was just a project for me but eventually when running a gift for the wife so any help would be appreciated!!
Thank you Alex
