I would run the fuel line directly from tank to carb bypassing the vacuum petcock and installing a manual one. Also don’t forget to plug the vacuum port on the carburetor. Those vacuum petcocks are known to fail and keep you guessing. Ah right I see, would there be a particular fuel tap that i would need for it as most of the taps iv seen are mounted in the tank and my one is frame mounted. Thanks for the reply matey

Hi all,
Iv just bought my boy the above scooter and it doesn't start. Iv checked for spark and all is good but when I took the plug out it was bone dry. What I have found is that when I cranked it over with the hose taken from the fuel tap to the carb the fuel trickled out burmt when i blew down the vacuum hose whilst cranking it the fuel flowed better. Does this sound like a fuel tap issue or am I better off inspecting the carb & cleaning the carb jets.
