50 cc bintelli scorch front tire replacement/speedomoter

I recently took off my 50cc bintelli scorch tire because it got a nail in it. I patched it and went to put it back on. When I went to put it back on I looked up youtube videos of how to easily do it. The videos looked simple enough.. however when I went to attach the speedometer to the tire the video said that it should "click in place". The video said I had to make sure the speedometer grooves are lined up with the tire grooves and that it locks. I've been trying EVERY possible angle to lock this thing in for the past 2 hours and it will not "click in". I was hoping someone here had some insight. Thanks.
