My MC-62-250 did the same thing....going down the road and then just died out like it ran out of gas...would start up go 1/4 of a mile and would do the same thing...would idle fine..but would not stay running when getting up to about 40 mph....so, I did everything I could think...then I got a new carb...but it would not pull gas thru it....I squirted gas straight to carb and it would run,then die out...solution: It was a cracked air tube "a short piece of plastic black tubing with a 45 degree bend that comes off the engine and the front part of carb slips into it" It is being repaired as I type...should fix the problem says the mechanic. I will keep you posted
