Thanks, I'll definitely check the valve set. I've never done it myself but I'd love to learn, do you know where can I find some instructions for this type of motor?

2006 49cc Schwinn scooter with 2000miles. I have a serious problem starting it when the outside temperature is around or below 60 degrees and engine is off for several hours. It eventually starts but it takes a long time for it to get going (several minutes). My kick start does not work and I am afraid I'll ruin the starter by doing this every morning. When it starts I can not accelerate quickly because it will die again, until it warms up enough, than it runs fine, and restarts right away. Few months ago I had the carb cleaned and adjusted, fuel filter and spark plug changed, fuel tank flushed and oils changed. It was in a perfect shape, but since it started getting cooler at night I'm having this problem every morning. It is always garage kept, except for the three weeks I recently had it on the back of my truck and took it for a road trip. Than it got rained on several times and caught some serious dust on the back roads of Utah and Colorado, plus got shaken a lot.
Any suggestions? Please help.
