I just noticed from your reply that I did not have my location in the profile. It's there now.

heh heh. Yep, around here also. I am in central Alabama, and here around the 'hood we have had daily highs over 90 since April 21, and we just finished up a run of 9 days with temps over 100. Right now (1:20pm) we are at 93, with a forecast of 97 for today. I have been doing yardwork, but I get out at daylight and go for an hour or two, and give it up. Too hot to ride, for the most part, and the house A/C is struggling. We are in "Extreme" drought condition. I am a bit concerned though - historically, when we have a mild winter and very hot summer, it is followed by a hard winter. Ah well, I need to do some scooter work anyway...

@dadue11 - It is hard for me to think of scooter spending as unwise. Your spending, from your post, is a bargain at whatever price... My neighbors on each side - one has a $22k bass boat that he uses 10-12 times a year, and the other has a $44k Mustang GT that he drives to work, mostly on roads with speed limits of 40 mph. [sigh] Last year, my total scooter spending, from the info I have, was about $1200 including gas, oil, insurance and 3 tires...

sounds like something i am wanting to do but i am not think of a round trip just a one way trip that dont have an end to it Sounds like a good plan! A fellow in the Valkyrie Riders club retired comfortably about 10 years ago. He was divorced and his wife got the house, so he figured he may as well just ride around for a while. He bought a Valkyrie tourer, and just rode around the lower 48 for several years, visiting family and friends and going to Valkyrie events and Daytona, He earned the handle "DDT" after the number of bugs he killed, and ended up "riding around" for almost 400k miles...

He has my wardrobe! I dress much like this, pretty much year-round, safari shorts and cotton shirts. Very comfy. kz1000st - a good trip on his bike, too. A Road King or Gold Wing or something is not necessarily a "better" travel ride, depending on what you want from the trip. Sounds like he got what he wanted.
