I've owned two scooters in my lifetime, both chinese. My old scooter was a lance duke touring 250 (stolen and not recovered) and my new one is identical - tank urban touring 250 special edition. I learned a bit working on the lance myself and felt confident on working on the Tank without any assistance but things went wrong very quickly. This became a nightmare situation mainly because my limited experience came from working with my friend who could bail me out and he's no longer accessible. And I can't afford to pay somebody to fix it. The situation is as follows: After riding my new scoot (read: previously owned, new to me) I had some problems with overheating. After a quick inspection I had come to realize my radiator neck filler had broken into pieces. Quick fix, I ordered new part and when it got here, attached it and it worked like t was new. However I recieved this scooter without an ignition unit and had ordered one online with the radiator neck filler because I was sick of hot wiring it. Long story short, I got cocky and I ended up accidently melting some wires by attaching a ground cable to a positive and even though I got it working through soldering , clipping and splicing.. it didn't feel solid so I ordered a new wiring harness. I was so excited to put the new harness on the frame I didn't take note on how the old harness was connected before. On top of that, it doesn't seem like any one wiring diagrahm is an exact match for my scooter (again tank urban touring special edition 250cc). Some weird things like my new harness has female connectors for the 6 CDI pins. whereas my old harness had male connectors.. or I can't figure out which connectors go to the diode because there are no conectors that fit. Anyways, I know it's a long shot but I took a bunch of random pictuers in the dark on my phone and am hoping anybody here can recognize and identify any part or wire that needs to be connected to another part of the scooter. I will try to take new pictures in the daytime but right now my scooter has been down for 6 weeks and I miss riding so much I can't go any longer or I feel my head will exlode !! please help!! view album here: plus.google.com/photos/112837087871209617767/albums/5759020776025674849?authkey=CPvVxKWl2KOB6wEplus.google.com/photos/112837087871209617767/albums/5759020776025674849?authkey=CPvVxKWl2KOB6wE
