I have a 2008 UM Matix II scooter. I decided to change the battery and for some unknown laps in memory I hooked the battery up backwards. It blew the fuse, and after talking to my Dad I figured out what I had done. I hooked the battery up correctly and replaced the fuse that is connected to the battery. Now the engine will turn over and I was able to start the scooter, however I have a new problem now. The switch does not seem to be working. I can take the key out completely and the headlight and instrument light stays on. The started does not turn over however when the key is out. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix my problem.
