Last night acceleration and power was back on for about 30mins after making no changes. today back to slow as anything up hills.
Any ideas?
It's almost like anything above 3/4 throttle just doesn't exist.
totally at a loss here
(add:) worth noting the scooter had not been used for a couple of days and was an unusually wet and cold night - when it ran strongly last night.

Dear Alleyoop, Thank you again Sir. Here is the link to the video of the variator which seems to my inexperience to be working correctly? www.dropbox.com/sh/mv0smt5kkvojzmx/QpTVmVLaR4 I have not yet been able to apply those greatly detailed tecniques for tuning fuel/air but will do so asap - thanks for the details am looking forwards to applying them.

I couldn't get to the rollers as have no torque wrench. did remove the cover and did not notice any movement of the belt at the variator end. On the stand it revs very high. with the engine off and turning the variator manually it did feel like at one part of the rotation there was some restriction. I think the video idea is excellent. will try to do and upload 2moro. Also yes the fuel/air mixture needed quite a change after the new air filter. needed to be richer by quite a bit too. thank you so much for your help. just about everything that can go wrong is going wrong at the mo (not just the bike). it's very nice to have some help

Ok I've cut away the stock air box leaving the curved tubed where i have attached an after market filter. I figured taping up and cracked air box was just too prone to fault again. I'm sure its running a little better but still no acceleration. top speed is good but really slow getting there.
It's as if the throttle wont go above 3/4. Again the carb is clean and needles/jets look perfect to my eye.
notably with the the bike on the stand it revs like anything albeit with a hesitation. apply torque by putting tyres on the road and back to slow sally.

well that sounds perfect as been wanting to remove the dodgy choke too. So JB weld ok on the rubbery material? i've read it's good for blocking holes in carbys.

Update:
Have located a large crack where the stock air box meets the tube for air into carby. This makes sense as it fell to the left where the box almost certainly took some impact. It's a 28mm CVK carb with a 40mm diameter intake. before going out and getting ripped off to tune of $90 for a k&n filter any advise or tricks waiting for me?
thanks a bunch fellas (from Sydney, Australia btw)

As for the bent Stud are you talking about the Exhaust studs that hold your Flange for your header pipe and muffler or the INTAKE Studs on top of the head where the Carb Clamps onto? Alleyoop the intake studs where the carb sends fuel ontop of the head. thank you sir(s) btw.

Is there a link you could provide to show me what you mean? Because come to think of it the intake manifold was bent when i got the bike but did not seem to affect performance.
I opened the the 'cover' to expose the variator yesterday and belt to look for damage and all looked clean (no obvious damage) but could not see the rollers i've read about before?

Great thank you. think we're onto something here with the fuel intake. one of the bolts were bent and now broken when trying to remove in the intake. Can I replace these two long bolts without opening up the head? Really hope so as i've not been ever able to open the head thanks to damaged nuts.

After receiving a free TGB 150cc I've spent much time getting running really nicely. The racing CDI really let me scream up steep hills with ease, almost felt too good for a 150.
Anyway after a the bike took a hard fall it's running but simply wont rev high (recently the rev meter died so not sure exactly). It did hit 8000 easily before. I'm guessing it wont go past 4000 now.
It sounds good starts good and even gets to 90km's but slooowly.
I cannot work out what the fall did. Please help me as I need this bike and i mean really need this bike for at least to June.
