Sym dd50

I'm going to pick up a sym dd50 for $150.00 the only thing missing on the bike is the intake and carb, it's a 2t. Can anyone tell me what I need to get it running? I'm not to familiar with 2 stroke engines. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the comments. Can anyone tell me if there is a triple tree that I can use on this bike, that will fit a 12" rim? I have a matching rim to the rear, but the rim is to wide for the stock tree and forks. I have the triple tree, and forks for the 12" rim but the tree does not fit the bike, to short, an to narrow. Thanks for any help. Jon

That wheel came with the long case, it's a 12" aluminum. I still need to paint it.

Bought this for $100.00. It had the title. Mopeds here are way over priced, even for fixer uppers.  It was stolen, and the police recovered it, I bought it off the person. That's all that came with the bike. I rebuilt a gy6 139qmb long case, with a new crank, 50mm BBK, 20mm carb, A9 cam, performance clutch, and bell, 1500 torque, and clutch springs, 5g weights.  Did the bodywork, and paint.   An this is what I ended up with. It can reach 54mph maybe more I also did up gears, 17x41 I can reach 54 mph.   |
